Matt Damon Rips Sarah Palin

I can’t say I have been paying too much attention to the American election, but I stumbled upon this video of Matt Damon today. As we all know this election is going to make history no matter who wins. We will either see America’s first black President or America’s first female Vice President. Watch the video to see what Damon says. I really admire celebrities who aren’t afraid to speak their mind. It’s pretty obvious that Damon really doesn’t care what anybody thinks.

Adrian Grenier Can Grow One Badass Beard

It has always been pretty obvious to me that Vince (Adrian Grenier) can grow some mad facial hair, but I never really realized the true potential until I watched last night’s episode of Entourage. He looked so badass with his beard and aviators in Mexico. I now have some serious beard envy. The picture below illustrates pretty clearly what I’m talking about.

What’s the deal with the Internet hating on Adrian for having a beard anyway? A simple Google for Adrian Grenier beard comes up with a bunch of links to an array of different posts regarding Adrian’s shabby look. Maybe I’m misinformed? I have this preconceived notion that having a beard makes you more manly, and the more beard the more manly? If that’s not true then I’m going to have to reevaluate my entire belief system.

Naah, I still want one. I don’t care what anybody thinks and maybe if I wish very very hard one day it will happen.

Golden Zakk Wylde Lesson - Pure Clarity

Whenever Zakk Wylde does an interview with anybody they always get him to do a mini lesson for them. Here is one he did, I’m not sure who for, but it is freakin funny.

“You practice it enough, you can get it as clean as that. Trust me on this, I’ve done it for several years now, actually several decades. That is pure clarity.” I laughed my ass off.

Then some guy says “Zakk has been watching too much YouTube.” Classic.

Cleaning out the Firefox Bookmarks

I am the worst for bookmarking everything and anything I come across. Sites I need to remember for once because I have to reboot to make some settings stick, or random sites I think I might need one day. What ends up happening is I get a bookmark menu with 100,000 unsorted bookmarks that I could lose and not miss at all because I don’t even know what is in there.

Every once and a while I clean them up (deleting 90% of them) and come across a few gems. Here are some decent sites that I have bookmarked over the past year:

Mandolux - High resolution quality wallpaper pictures for multiple monitors
Howto: Backup and restore your Linux system
Upcoming.org - events in your area
YouParkLikeAnAsshole.com - leave a ticket for that a-hole who parks like one.
Cute Overload
How to search for deals on Amazon
Uncyclopedia

Huh, I thought there would be more than that.

Fake Coins and Chocolate Bars

Ok, so here is the news for today. I tried to buy a chocolate bar from the vending machine today. I had 4 quarters, 1 nickel, and what I thought was 2 dimes. The machine kept on spitting out one of my dimes, so I looked at it and realized it was a 20 Lipa piece from Republik Hrvatska, AKA Croatia. This is not the first time this is happened to me. Aside from the odd American coin in my change once I got some random Oriental coin for a quarter… it’s not even close to the same size and it feels like it is made of aluminum.

Speaking of this vending machine, I have been choked for a month because all of the 3 Musketeers chocolate bars have been gone. Then I just realized today that there is a whole row of them but there is a Hazelnut crapbar in front of them. So I have to sacrifice $1.25 if I want to get to the 3 Musketeers.

Here is a little tidbit for you, apparently Americans hate it when they get Canadian quarters in their change because stores there wont accept them (if noticed). Here in Canada nobody cares because they are at least equal currency.

The Jaguar XK is coming and it looks PIIIMMMMPPP.

Seriously, I’ve been a fan of most Jaguar sport models but this car is so sweet it’s sickening. I have been drooling over this website for the past 15 minutes, no kidding.

jag.jpg

The limited edition sports a 4.2L V8 or a 4.8L V8 Supercharged engine, 4 new paint colours, and 20″ alloy wheels. Not only that but it also includes some pretty cool technology like Bluetooth connectivity and advanced onboard computers.

Yoda OrigamiYeah… uh, I dont even know how I feel about this exactly. You’ll just have to decide for yourself if this is cool or not. Some guy named Fumiaki Kawahata has outlined detailed instructions on how to make an origami Yoda.

You can grab the instructions in PDF format here:

The main website is in Spanish but I have linked to it through Google Translater:

Nerf Gun Not Packing Enough Punch?? Then Mod it.

Nerf ModdingApparently there is a significant group of people that think that Nerf Guns need to be more powerful. The site gives details on how to modify your Nerf guns so that they fire harder and farther. Now, I have always considered myself to be somewhat of a geek, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. The guys at nerfhaven really really should be ashamed, they are giving us every day geeks a really bad name.

Naah, seriously, I should give them a break. They are lucky enough to have found something they are very passionate about and that’s great. In fact they are so passionate about it they have organized annual gatherings called Nerf Outs where they play Nerf war games.

Anyway if you want to be the first person to kill someone with a Nerf gun, check out this site:
Nerf Gun Modification @ Nerfhaven.com

Or you can just go to the main page to check out their forums, Nerf inspired artwork, news articles, homemade Nerf instructions, and a gallery of hundreds of photos from their “Nerf Outs”.
