See what happens when I don’t write very much on this blog? I go on a rampage and post 50 things at once.

Here is another one for ya. The After Dark Horrorfest 2006 was so successful they are doing it all over again this year! What is exciting is the promo video says they are going global! Oh God, please come to Calgary.

There isn’t a whole lot of information on the website yet but here is what I do know:

• It will be November 9th through 11th 2007
• All Access passes go on sale in September 2007
• 35 US cities are confirmed, but the promo video says they are going global, so that gives me hope it will be in Canada as well
• There will be 8 new films to die for from After Dark and Lions Gate
• There is a YouTube contest starting July 1st to become Miss Horrorfest 2007
• There is also a screenwriting competition. Submit your screenplay to win a deal with After Dark and Lions Gate
• There is a film making contest. Make a horror short and upload it to YouTube. The winners will have their videos showcased on the Horrorfest website and the grand winner will have theirs show in theaters during the Horrorfest.

Details are pretty scarce at this point. I can’t find any details on which cities are confirmed for 2007 or exactly how to enter any of the three contests. There aren’t really any details on the YouTube channel or on the MySpace page.

I’ll keep an eye on this though and post any more news I find.
